Siouxsie and the Banshees waren eine 1976 in London gegründete britische Rockband. Sie gelten als eine der wichtigsten Bands der Post-Punk- und Dark-Wave-Bewegung. Obwohl die Band außerhalb Großbritanniens kommerziell kaum erfolgreich war, erlangte sie einen Status als Kultband. Heute geben viele Rockbands (etwa LCD Soundsystem, U2, Massive Attack, TV on the Radio, Garbage, Radiohead, Santigold) Siouxsie and the Banshees als Einflussquelle auf ihr musikalisches Werk an.
